WebSep 23, 2024 · Does Mavic recommend grease for ID360? For the ITS-4 hub they recommended a light (sewing machine type) oil for the freehub pawls. I've used just regular 5W-30 engine oil leftovers from car's oil change with success. Usually I'll put in a little more than recommended. Excess will slowly find itself a way out. WebSep 3, 2024 · The only damage grease could do in the pawls is that the freehub doesn't work. If your ride home went okay, I assume the freehub works at whatever temperature you did the ride in. However, I find it hard to visualize how the freehub could have been greased. Opening the freehub body is not an easy task, if it's a Shimano freehub.
